What is Autism?
“Autism spectrum disorder is a neurological and developmental disorder that affects how people interact with others, communicate, learn, and behave. Although autism can be diagnosed at any age, it is described as a “developmental disorder” because symptoms generally appear in the first two years of life.”

So what does that mean? Well, to answer a few questions that have recently come up…
No, Autism is not a disease. It is, by definition, a disability.
No, vaccines do not cause Autism. “The false claim that vaccines cause Autism has been thoroughly debunked through decades of rigorous, global scientific studies involving millions of individuals. Continuing to promote such discredited theories not only wastes valuable resources but also risks damaging public trust in life-saving immunizations, further endangering both the Autism community and society at large. “ - Autism Society
People with Autism can absolutely lead full lives— with careers. And, yes….they pay taxes. People with Autism can, in fact, write poems, have jobs, go on dates, and use the restroom…all things RFK claimed they could not do.
And, yes they can play baseball (honestly, weird we have to even clarify that).
The misinformation being spread about Autism is dangerous— so it is up to all of us to remain educated and aware… because that the end of the day we are better off knowing “MOR”!
